An Owl Saved by a Man Became His Best Friend and Keeps Him Company Inside Instead of Hanging Outside
Peter Middleton found a tiny baby owl lying flat on the ground, muddy, weak, and in rough shape. It was the kind of rescue that starts with one small decision and turns into something much bigger.
The owl, later named Bertie, had a serious infection in his feet, so Mr. Middleton took him to the vet, where he stayed for about two months. Once Bertie recovered, he was supposed to live with other owls, but he had other plans.
Instead of staying outside, Bertie moved indoors and never really looked back. Now he keeps Mr. Middleton company around the house, and the bond between them is hard to miss.
