This Photo Editor Envisions Real Animals in a Round Balloon Form, and They Actually Look Cute
Some photo edits are subtle, and others turn the animal kingdom into a parade of floating spheres. Aditya Aryanto has taken the second route with a playful series that reimagines familiar creatures as round, balloon-like figures.
Using photos of wild and domestic animals from public sources, he reshapes their bodies in Photoshop with a liquify effect, then removes their feet and legs so they look like they are drifting upward. The result is strange, funny, and unexpectedly cute, especially when the animals still keep their original expressions.
From dogs and foxes to elephants and dolphins, the series keeps getting more surreal with each image. Read on.
