Cat Refuses To Eat After Owner Abandoned Him For A New Couch
Do you own cats? How much do you adore them?
By nature, some cats are clingy, and they love to be around their favorite humans. Whether it’s just seeing them, hugging, or playing, the best place to be is in the arms of their owners, whom they consider family.
Just like dogs, cats form emotional attachments with their owners too. While some may not be very expressive, it does not mean that they don’t love you.
Cats are like babies. They love their caregivers and owners even if they only stay in one corner.
When they feel that they are being left alone, they become stressed, especially when abandoned by their owners.
That is exactly what happened to this three-month-old kitty named Tim. Just when he thought he had found a forever home, it didn’t turn out to be a happy ending.
He never suspected his heart would be broken after giving his new owner 100% trust. But sadly, he was turned over to New York City’s Animal Care and Control.
When he was surrendered to ACC, the only reason his owner provided was that the family bought a new couch. Yes, there was no other explanation.

This poor sweetheart never thought that after being adopted into his new family, he would be abandoned so easily—only because his family got a new couch! Then his family surrendered him to ACC.
Tim suffered from depression.
Anxiety and depression have overpowered this cat's once joyful spirit. Without considering his feelings, it was all too easy for his owners to get rid of him for a very lame reason—a new couch!
Tim is curled up, lonely, and uncertain about what his life will be. He is fearful, and his stress is evident in his fur.
Nothing can be worse than being on the list of cats to be euthanized. So, aside from being abandoned, Tim faces a much greater risk of losing his life.
Rescued by Magnificat!
Although he lost his family and was bound to die soon, luck was still on Tim's side. On the same day he was scheduled to be euthanized, Magnificat came to rescue him.
This animal rescue organization focuses on rehoming and rescuing cats in need. Thankfully, they were able to find Tim a loving foster family.
Despite having a great foster family, Tim still suffered greatly from anxiety and depression. His heart has never healed from the immense heartache he experienced, and he refused to eat.
He remained in one corner, grieving alone over being rejected by his owner. His condition worsened, and he continued to lose weight despite his foster family's best efforts to force-feed him.
Everyone—his foster family and Magnificat—has not given up on Tim, and they want nothing more than for him to find happiness. They hope he will regain his energy and love for life.
Magnificat and his foster family wish for Tim to feel the love surrounding him. They hope that one day, he will find joy in his environment.
They pray for him to regain his strength and enthusiasm. Thanks to them for rescuing him and other cats.
