Freezing Kittens Abandoned On The Side Of The Road Rescued By Father And Son While Driving Home From Work
Some rescues happen in the most ordinary moments, and this one started with a drive home from work. A father and son noticed reports of heavy snow blocking part of the road near their home, so they went to check it out and ended up spotting something strange on the roadside.
At first, the object was hard to make out because it was covered in snow, but a closer look revealed a white box with tracks around it. When they opened it, they found two kittens left outside in the freezing cold, already looking weak and sick from the weather.
What happened next turned a heartbreaking discovery into a much kinder ending.
This was the sight they stumbled upon.
The box seemed to be placed there on purpose, as the branches appeared to hold the top of the box in place. The box was white, perfectly matching the snow, making it almost impossible to see from the road. Luckily enough, someone did notice it.
It was fortunate that it was discovered, even if the box was not very visible from afar.
When they peered inside the box, their hearts broke at the sight of a cat that was obviously suffering.
They had been intentionally abandoned, but the person who left them was merciful enough to provide two small bowls of food and a blanket. Still, the cat was freezing and already sick.
That was a heartbreaking thing to find on the side of the road.
It’s the same kind of nerve as the rescuers who risked everything to save two horses from a frozen lake.
They took a closer look and discovered that there were actually two cats left abandoned inside the box, and they felt remorseful.
The father and son pondered why someone would do this to these innocent animals. Who knows how long they had already been there?

It certainly seems like they are in the middle of nowhere, given the absence of houses or any establishments nearby. The original owner truly left the cats to meet their own demise.
They were kind enough to provide a home for the abandoned kittens.
They started to nurse them back to health. This one was the second kitten they noticed in the box, and he looks visibly a lot healthier than the other one.
