Interesting Shots Captured With A Hidden Camera Of Animals Crossing The River Using This Log
Robert Bush Sr. has spent years quietly documenting the wildlife around his Pennsylvania home, and one of his best camera spots turned out to be a simple log stretched across a river. What started as a backyard experiment in 2013 has turned into a surprisingly rich look at how animals move through the area.
The hidden camera has caught ducks, bears, and plenty of other animals using the log as a crossing point, and the results are more interesting than anyone might expect. It is the kind of setup that reveals just how much happens in nature when nobody is watching.
Now the log has become the star of Bush's wildlife footage, and the clips keep showing new moments worth seeing.
“He taught me about wildlife trails and tracks when I was a kid.”
“I started doing the camera traps with my father; it was a way for us to spend time together since we are both always busy and both are outdoorsmen,” Bush told The Dodo.

Crossing that river would have been much more difficult if it weren't for that log.

A lot of different animals have used the log to cross the river, from ducks...
The ducks are just chilling there; no one can cross now.

That’s the same kind of chaos as the hunter who found a GoPro, then watched one bear take selfie-style “nice” photos.
… to bears …
He's crossing so casually.

… to other animals in between.
Someone just spotted the camera.

“Animals cross the log all the time,” Bush said.
“Once, a great blue heron was on the log, and a chipmunk tried crossing and almost became lunch, but was lucky enough to escape.”

“The turkey and owl fighting just to the right of the log would have to be one of the many cool captures,” Bush said.

Here's the full video of all the animals crossing the river:
The log seems to serve more than as a simple bridge; it has many purposes, and animals use it according to their specific and individual needs.
Some just hang out on it because they enjoy being there, while others even use it as a dinner table to eat their prey. Either way, it's always interesting to see animals acting so casually and naturally without any humans around them.
The wildlife is truly fascinating; we have only managed to observe a very small portion of it, yet we are still flabbergasted by its complexity and beauty. We are glad Robert Bush Sr. decided to set up his camera and capture these amazing shots of animals crossing the river; they are truly beautiful.
Watching the video is even more interesting since you can see them in motion.
