Meet 4-Year-Old Maine Coon That Weighs 28 Pounds And Is The Biggest Cat In New York City
Samson is not your average house cat. The 4-year-old Maine Coon, nicknamed Catstradamus, has become a Brooklyn curiosity thanks to his massive frame, fluffy coat, and a weight that puts him well above what most people expect from a pet cat.
He lives with Jonathan Zurbel in Williamsburg, where the pair have drawn plenty of attention online and in real life. While some people question whether Samson is simply too big, Zurbel says the cat is healthy, playful, and very much part of the family routine.
Now the giant feline is getting even more buzz, and the video only adds to the debate.
The massive feline, also known as Catstradamus, lives with his owner Jonathan Zurbel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Even though Zurbel has issued a challenge to those who follow him and his pet online to find a larger cat, nobody has taken it up. In fact, you need to watch the video to truly believe it.
The feline is apparently extremely loving and caring towards his owner and loves to cuddle on his belly

Samson may be gigantic, but he is not overweight; rather, he is a healthy and content cat of enormous size. Samson's owner described him as a "gentle giant" to The Dodo.
"Very sweet, tender, but a tough guy. He likes to wrestle and play, but secretly enjoys being pampered as long as nobody is watching. He is a ladies' man who loves females much more than males, except for his daddy, whom he loves very much."
This is like Kefir the Maine Coon, mistaken for a dog because he is so huge.
Zurbel has even challenged people who follow him and his cat online to find a bigger feline, but so far no one has stepped forward

Samson, who is four years old, has lived in his father's apartment in the city since November of 2013. He was always a very large kitten, even as a baby, and now weighs around 10 pounds more than a typical Maine Coon cat would.
Despite the relatively small apartments in New York City, he always manages to find room for himself.
