Dedicated Cat Takes His Job of Dropping Off His Best Girl to the Bus Stop Every Day Seriously
Craig is not your average rescue cat, and his morning routine proves it. The black-and-white family pet has taken it upon himself to escort his favorite little girl to the bus stop every day, and he treats the job like it matters.
His owner, Jessica Leatherman, says Craig started showing up for duty after her 7-year-old daughter began riding the bus to school this year. Once he realized the routine had changed, he began waiting by the door, meowing until someone let him out so he could follow along.
What happened next turned a sweet habit into a full-on family ritual, and Craig has not missed a shift since.
Here is Craig making sure that his bestie rides her school bus safely.
Aside from this very serious job, Craig is also known as an all-around entertainer in their home. He loves sitting on countertops and knocking things down to let his humans know that he needs all of their attention.
But he's also very laid-back and chill. Thunder? Lightning?
Those loud and flashy things don't bother Craig. He has the appropriate temperament for a guard cat.

Pictured here is Craig, protector of all little girls and full-time bus stop guard. Also, he's about to knock over those coasters to get your attention.

Leatherman expected Craig to go back once the school bus arrived, but he didn't. Craig sat and attentively watched as his human got onto the bus safely.
He stayed until the bus was out of his sight. Every morning since that first one, Craig and his bestie go out to the sidewalk to wait for the bus to arrive.
To pass the time, they even play a little before the school bus gets there! Can you think of anything cuter?

It did not take long for Craig's routine to become the main event.
And if you think Craig’s “serious job” is intense, the dad who tried to leave his kitten behind gets accused of ruining his vacation.
Even when the morning is gloomy and rainy, Craig does what he does best: wait for the school bus with his bestie.
During his breaks, Craig is a part-time adorable machine.

Craig has since become a local celebrity. Kids know that he will be there before they go to school, and he will be there waiting after.
When the bus approaches and the kids see Craig, the little ones cheer for him and call out! Once his favorite little girl is home, Craig follows her around the house.
He plops down next to her and purrs his heart out. He's around her all the time just to make sure she's always safe.
Here's to Craig, the black-and-white cat with a big heart!
Craig’s bus-stop heroics are sweet, but wait until you see a pilot adopt a stray cat mid-flight during a hurricane evacuation.
