Man Has Emotional Reunion With His 19-Year-Old Cat 7 Years After He Went Missing
Imagine your beloved pet goes missing. Your best four-legged buddy disappears, and you have no way of finding him. You are heartbroken and feel completely lost without him, but you have no choice but to move on. Now imagine seven years go by, and out of nowhere, your precious fur friend comes back to you!
Well, that's exactly what happened to Robert. Robert's adorable tabby cat, Chebon, went missing just as Robert was planning a big move from California to Ohio. Devastated, Robert put his move on hold and decided to stay in California for another whole year to look for Chebon, but he had no luck.
Robert did everything he could to find his best friend, but eventually, he had to make peace with the fact that he might never see him again. Then, one day, seven years later, Robert received a phone call from a stranger saying that his beloved cat had been found and was safe, waiting to see him again!
“I remember at one point I was praying and I said, ‘God, I’ll do anything, just bring my Chebon back,’” Robert said in a video posted by Ventura County Animal Services.
But Chebon seemed to have disappeared forever.
Until seven years later, when a woman spotted a cat that looked unwell, so she caught it and took it to the vet. Luckily, the cat was microchipped and was instantly identified as Chebon. That's when Robert received the shocking phone call.
“I was afraid there was some kind of mistake,” Robert said. He decided to fly to LA to see Chebon right away.
When Robert saw the cat, he knew immediately that it was Chebon and burst into tears. They were finally back together.
