Stray Cat Followed A Man Home From A Cafe And Decided He Was Her Dad Now
Some cats do not wait to be invited, they decide on the spot who belongs to them. That is exactly what happened when Basil Akwan and his girlfriend kept seeing a stray kitten around the cafe where they spent so much time in Kuwait.
What started as a casual routine turned into a daily visit from a pair of kittens, and one of them quickly took a special interest in Akwan. Before long, she was following him everywhere and acting like he had already been chosen.
By the time she made her move toward his car, the whole story had turned into a tiny feline adoption mission.
“We used to see them together all the time — they always waited in the same spot for us to come, even on rainy days,” Akwan told The Dodo. “They would sneak onto the table for food and cuddles.”
The cat started to follow him towards his car, and one day Akwan realized that she was trying to tell him that she wanted to be a part of his family.
He has since named his new cat Sophie. His girlfriend adopted her sister, too.
