Cat Disappears From Her Family Home Only To be Found Six Days Later - 280 Miles Away
Ashley the Siamese cat vanished from her family home in North Wales, and what happened next made the search even more surprising.
Her owners first thought she was hiding somewhere nearby, but when mealtimes came and went with no sign of her, the worry started to build. Neighbors joined in, the search spread, and then a message arrived from a lost-and-found group nearly 280 miles away in East London.
Six days after disappearing, Ashley was found safe, scared, and far from home, and her journey is the part nobody saw coming.

Ashley is shown here with Allan and his dog Bobby after they discovered her in their Essex garage. She undoubtedly stunned these two with her piercing blue eyes. But as soon as they noticed how kind she is, they immediately brought her inside and got to work on a plan to get Ashley back home.

Allan and his dog Bobby found her in their garage
It was Bobby who found Ashley. By then, she had already spent six days away from home. His owner, Allan, believed that Ashley was from Essex, so he decided to call a group called Pippa's Army, which had previously assisted many Essex residents in finding their lost dogs.

She was scared and confused

They notified an organization called Pippa's Army

That message changed everything.
The owner was thrilled when he saw the good news:

This is the distance the cat had traveled:

The reunion was emotional, and Ashley was finally back where she belonged.
It also reminds us of the woman who reclaimed her missing cat from an old woman and got yelled at.
This is Ashley with her owner again:

Ashley's owner shared the good news:

Pippa's Army can be found on Twitter

And IG too:

Ashley got back home safely, and Pippa's Army has continued to find abandoned pets and reunite them with their owners across the UK. There are a couple of lessons to be learned here.
First, don't leave your windows and doors open. The second is that Pippa's Army should be contacted if you or a friend who lives in the UK loses a pet.
They are amazing.
What a wild trip for one very unlucky cat.
