Vet Shaved Off 2 Pounds Of Matted Hair Off An Animal And A Genuinely Cute Cat Was Revealed
If you’ve ever worked in an animal shelter, you already know that it’s challenging. Animal medical technicians and vets experience a lot, both the good and the bad, on a consistent basis.
Julie Bolchalk is an animal medical technician, and she received a call about an animal that had been neglected. She went to rescue Fluffer along with her team at the Arizona Humane Society.
It turned out that her owner had passed away, and there was no one to care for her. Immediately after Julie saw the animal, she was shocked beyond words.
She stated that she had seen some rather awful cases during her time rescuing different animals, but she had never encountered matting this severe, as it was larger than Fluffer's entire body. The matting was so extreme that they couldn't determine her actual shape.
The tangled fur was so large and heavy that it was likely painful for the creature. Shockingly, Fluffer didn't react negatively.
In fact, she behaved like a well-groomed lady. Julie shared that the animal was exceptionally sweet and allowed herself to be groomed without the need for a sedative, which is remarkable.
They shaved away 2 pounds of tangled hair, which accounted for a quarter of Fluffer's total weight!
The tangled fur was so large and heavy that it was probably painful for the creature.
After a lengthy shaving process, the creature's true beauty was finally revealed. Fluffer is actually a feline, and an adorable one at that.

Moreover, she has these truly deep, soul-searching yellow eyes and a sweet face. She's very patient as well, and despite the fact that her grooming session didn't end up looking pretty, she never minded it.
It wasn’t easy for her as she lost her loved ones.
Seeing Fluffer in such awful condition can make anyone feel terrible. In fact, it can trigger feelings of outrage toward her previous owners.

However, her story wasn't solely about cruelty; it's more akin to a heartbreaking tale of losing loved ones. In this case, Fluffer did lose her family, and that is truly saddening.

Fortunately, Fluffer now has a new home! After shaving the matted hair off Fluffer, the vet at the Arizona Humane Society took a long, hard look at the beautiful feline.

They went a step further to check everything about her to ensure she's strong, healthy, and ready for adoption. The good news is that she is fit as a fiddle!
