Security Camera Footage Shows Cat Bringing Her Kittens To The Garage For Their Safety In The Eye Of The Storm
Jeffrey Peltier was planning to polish his motorcycle on a Friday night. It was late, and he thought it would be the best time to do the work in peace, not expecting any company.
This was not the case, though. Greeting him in the garage was a cat with her two teeny-tiny kittens, who were hiding under his motorbike.
This cat was quite familiar to him, as well as to the rest of the neighborhood. She was known there by the name of Amelia.
However, she had never been seen with any kittens before, so that was new.
Forgetting what he had actually come into the garage for, Peltier prepared the bathroom for the cat and her little family to stay the night. When he came out of the bathroom, there was a new surprise waiting for him.
There were two more kittens! Peltier put them all in a box and kept them in the bathroom for the night.
It was still a mystery to him how the cat and her kittens got there. However, that mystery was resolved when he checked the recording on his Ring security camera.
Peltier shared what he saw on the security footage: “I saw that Amelia had brought the kittens to my house Thursday afternoon, one by one.”
“When I saw the footage of her bringing the kittens over, I was just amazed. The previous day, we had just had a tropical storm come close to Florida.”
He added further, “I assume the next day she went looking for somewhere safe to put her kittens.” Peltier was happy that Amelia felt his garage was safe enough to bring them there, even though he didn't know they had sought refuge there.

The next morning, when the cat and her kittens were all rested and relaxed, he took them to get checked out by the vet.
They all seemed to be in good health, and everything was alright with them. He will be taking the kittens to the vet again in a few days for vaccinations.
Once they are vaccinated, they will be put up for adoption. He will also be taking Amelia to be spayed when she is done nursing her kittens.

Amelia is very fond of the outdoors, so Peltier decided, with his neighbor's input, that they would let her roam between the two houses.
Peltier's home will always be her safe house, where she can return with her kittens. She knows they will be well taken care of there.

Peltier's words reflect his true feelings of delight.
“We are happy that she has these beautiful kittens, and I will make sure that they find good and safe homes,” Peltier said.
