Russian Trash Sorting Employee Discovers Mysterious Bag, But Is Horrified When He Finds What's Inside
A waste sorting worker in Ulyanovsk, Russia, made a shocking discovery when he spotted a white plastic bag moving along a conveyor belt at a trash disposal plant. Inside was a live cat, just moments away from the crusher at the end of the line.
The rescue was caught on CCTV and showed Mikhail Tukash pulling the bag from the belt, cutting it open, and finding a black-and-white male cat inside. The plant says its workers have rescued other abandoned animals before, but this one came far too close to a terrible ending.
Now the cat is safe, and the story has turned into a nationwide search for the perfect name.

Sadly, this is not the first time that workers at the plant have rescued abandoned pets. They have saved two turtles and a hedgehog over the past few months, and they are now living at the facility.
The cat survived by a miracle because the garbage truck has its own press. Firstly, he got lucky there. In total, he survived twice, thanks to our operators stopping the sorting line in time, giving the animal a second chance at life.
