Vali was the kind of shelter cat who refused to fade into the background. The 10-year-old tuxedo spent months waving at anyone who walked past her kennel, hoping someone would finally notice her.
After arriving at the New Jersey shelter following her previous owner’s death, Vali became known for her trilling meows and her habit of tapping people when she wanted more pets. She even spent time in a foster home, but her heart seemed set on finding a permanent family of her own.

She needed to get back to the shelter, where she could find her new family
