An Innovative Idea Has Been Employed to Dress Dark-Furred Dogs in Colorful Sweaters for Better Chances of Adoption
Some animal shelters have to get creative to help overlooked pets stand out, and Scottish SPCA found a clever way to do it. Dark-furred dogs can be harder to photograph, which can make them easier to miss when people are scrolling through adoption listings.
To change that, the charity teamed up with Scottish Women’s Institutes groups and dressed the dogs in bright, colorful sweaters. The idea gave the dogs more visibility, kept them warm, and added a little extra charm to their adoption photos.
Now the shelter is hoping the cheerful knitwear can help even more pets find homes. The results are hard to ignore.
