Stray Corgi Randomly Shows Up In Front Of Couple's Gate And Runs Inside The Second The Gate Opens
Lauren Alondra’s boyfriend noticed a corgi pacing while pulling up to their house; he was pacing back and forth right in front of the gate. The poor corgi was confused and scared, peeking inside the gate in a way that suggested he wanted to get inside.
Alondra joined her boyfriend in the car after he called her and explained the situation, and she suggested that they should open the gate to see if the corgi wanted to come in. Luckily, the corgi did enter the gate as soon as it opened and ran inside, where it immediately started looking for a hiding spot between the fence and the very end of the house.
The corgi refused to move after the couple tried to approach him; the little guy was just too scared. However, after sitting with him for a bit and reassuring him that everything was going to be fine, he allowed them to pick him up.
The couple quickly brought him to the vet to get him checked out and eventually found out that he was not chipped. Despite that, after posting about the rescue online, Alondra found the corgi's mom, who was grateful to the couple for finding him.
Here's the original TikTok video showing the whole process the couple went through:

The woman was very thankful to the couple for making sure Buddy was safe and asked if they wanted to keep him.
She said she was left with no choice but to leave the dog behind after the end of her relationship with her ex, as she was under the impression that Buddy had been rehomed.

“He gets along well with my three other dogs,” Alondra told The Dodo.
“The owner said she would like it if we could [adopt him] since he seems to be doing really well with us. Even though a fourth dog is a lot of responsibility, we are happy to do so. He fits in perfectly in our home.”

As soon as Buddy realized he was safe, he was no longer scared and immediately came out of his shell.
“There’s a major difference in him now,” Alondra said. “He is acclimating very well since at first he was super scared and seemed traumatized from whatever he had gone through. He is now very happy and playful… He loves belly rubs and playing fetch. We are socializing him as much as we can, and he will now take a belly rub from anyone!”

“We are now just so thankful he came up to our gate at the right moment and found a safe place with us,” Alondra said.

Alondra and her boyfriend were not planning to add a new furry friend to their family anytime soon, but Buddy knew better and went straight to their house without thinking twice. It definitely was not planned, but it was meant to be.
Now everyone is happy! Which is what anyone can and would wish for.
