Stray Corgi Randomly Shows Up In Front Of Couple's Gate And Runs Inside The Second The Gate Opens
Lauren Alondra and her boyfriend were just pulling up to their house when they spotted something unusual by the gate, a corgi pacing back and forth like he was looking for help. The little dog seemed nervous and unsure, peeking inside as if he wanted to get in but did not know how.
After Alondra joined the conversation by phone, she suggested opening the gate to see what the corgi would do. The answer was immediate, he ran inside, found a hiding spot, and stayed frozen until the couple could calm him down.
What happened next turned a random encounter into a full rescue story.
Here's the original TikTok video showing the whole process the couple went through:
The corgi refused to move after the couple tried to approach him; the little guy was too scared.

The woman was very thankful to the couple for making sure Buddy was safe and asked if they wanted to keep him.
She said she was left with no choice but to leave the dog behind after the end of her relationship with her ex, as she was under the impression that Buddy had been rehomed.

Buddy did not stay scared for long once he realized he was safe.
It’s a lot like the shelter dog who reunited with the family he thought he’d lost forever.
“He gets along well with my three other dogs,” Alondra told The Dodo.
“The owner said she would like it if we could [adopt him] since he seems to be doing really well with us. Even though a fourth dog is a lot of responsibility, we are happy to do so. He fits in perfectly in our home.”

Alondra and her boyfriend were not planning to add a new furry friend to their family anytime soon, but Buddy knew better and went straight to their house without thinking twice. It definitely was not planned, but it was meant to be.
Now everyone is happy! Which is what anyone can and would wish for.
