Stepan was found abandoned in the woods at just 3 months old, weak and starving after his mother disappeared. Hunters brought the tiny bear to the couple in Moscow, and what began as a rescue turned into a long-term home filled with trust, routine, and a lot of surprising cuddles.
Now Stepan lives like part of the family, and his daily life is far gentler than most people would expect from a bear his size. Read on.
Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko, and their furry companion Stepan – nothing but a fully grown bear – are a happy family

Despite his 7-foot height and 400-pound weight, the massive bear is nothing but a gentle giant! He adores people and is a very sociable bear, despite what others may think of his size and appearance.

He is not aggressive at all, and his adoptive parents have never reported being bitten or having him attempt to bite them. Nonetheless, they treat him with respect because, despite being fully domesticated, Stepan retains deadly instincts and features.
That kind of trust does not happen overnight.
