This Labrador Retriever Rescue Became a Dad After Adopting 7 Abandoned Kittens
9 Sep 2021
Bertie, the rescue Labrador retriever, proved that cats and dogs can get along after he selflessly decided to take care of the seven abandoned kittens his owner brought home. His owner, Rachel, is the head nurse of the Battersea Animal Rescue charity.

She took home these adorable kittens after they were found on the streets, and Bertie's paternal instincts immediately kicked in. He knew what he had to do and didn't hesitate to look after them until they found their new home.

Perhaps it was sympathy that motivated him to help because he understood what it was like to be abandoned. Either that, or he was just being a very good boy.
