Smol Pupper Shows Her Appreciation Through Her Heart-Melting Smile After Rescuers Saved Her From The Streets
Do dogs smile? According to experts, when humans smile at dogs, they respond in kind.
Dogs appear to smile more when they are relaxing, playing, happy, or acknowledging someone they know. Unlike us humans, they don't smile (or laugh) at our jokes.
However, you might see them smile because you're doing the same thing. Typically, when dogs display a friendly smile, it is called the submissive grin.
You'll notice this with other gestures, which include exposing their teeth and being relaxed. Remember that dogs showing their teeth don't always mean that they're displaying aggression.
A dog's smile, according to most animal behaviorists, is an adaptive facial expression and behavior with different uses and advantages. They use it as a social skill and a way to express their emotions.
Moreover, they quickly understand that smiling brings positive reactions from humans. They will continue this behavior to receive positive reinforcement.
Today, we're looking at the story of an appreciative doggo. She was granted a second chance at a life full of love after being rescued.
What was her reaction toward the humans who helped the little pup? As you might expect, she was all smiles with her tail wagging uncontrollably.
And that heartwarming and cute smile will surely melt your heart.
The video that went viral features a puppy named Layla, who's so happy after being saved. The poor doggo was seen wandering along the streets of Beaumont, Texas.
She scavenged for food. Fortunately, some good Samaritans helped her by taking the pupper to Beaumont Animal Care.

Rachel Barron, a volunteer at the rescue center, decided to pay Layla a visit shortly after she arrived.
When Rachel entered the dog's kennel with her camera, the adorable puppy had the cutest reaction. The woman began conversing with the friendly pupper in a baby-like voice.
The little dog found the situation so amusing that she immediately began to smile.

Layla was overjoyed to discover that humans can be so compassionate.
It was probably the first time in her life that a human being showed her kindness. So she returned the favor with a huge smile!
Rachel was able to capture a video of the heartwarming event and shared it online, hoping that Layla's heartfelt smile would eventually help her find a forever home.

The video was captioned with a message stating that this cutie needs a forever home.
If this doesn’t brighten up your Monday blues, I don’t know what will. This little girl is so happy. But what would make her smile even bigger?

With a dog that adorable, it wasn't hard to find her a forever home.

As seen in the clip of the adorable pupper, it's not only scientists who can prove that dogs know how to smile and appreciate.
It happens in rescue shelters. We see it in videos shared by people online.
It's fascinating that dogs have adorable ways of communicating with us humans. They have numerous nonverbal behaviors and signals that convey their positive emotions.
Remember that canines are sensitive to the way we treat them and express emotions. By understanding how they communicate, you can determine how your pet is feeling and what they need at the moment.
