Shelter Dog Hugs Best Friend Just Before She Was About to Put Them Down; Photo Goes Viral in Minutes and the Dog Gets Saved
Man's closest friend frequently suffers the cruelties of life, with an excessive number of dogs ending up in shelters. There is little doubt that animal overpopulation has become a global catastrophe.
Simply put, there are not enough homes for all the animals that are left behind. Dogs and cats cannot thrive in the wild or on the streets since they are domesticated animals.
They rely heavily on people for safety, food, and shelter. The unfortunate animals that do not have loving homes are either compelled to enter shelters or abandoned on the sides of highways.
Many pets are surrendered by their owners because they are either too old, too sick, or their owners cannot afford to care for them. Along with allergies, moving, and compatibility issues with family members or other pets, there are other causes.
Concerning issues include the congestion in shelters and the homeless animals on the streets. Shelter systems are under a lot of pressure as a result.
Other animals must deal with the heartbreaking reality of being put down, while some are fortunate enough to begin a new chapter through adoption. As a dog lover, seeing a dog in such a scenario makes me cry.
Despite our best intentions, we are frequently unable to intervene.
If no one saves us, someone will take her away from me. I’ll see her as she goes down the hallway

Two dogs at Atlanta's Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, Kala and Keira, appeared to have a dim future. Despite being affectionate and well-mannered puppies, nobody seemed interested in adopting them, so they faced the terrible possibility of being put down.
The workers at the shelter posted a picture of the pair cuddling on Facebook in an effort to find them a loving home

With little time left, the shelter's workers made one last-ditch effort to save them by posting a picture of the pair cuddling on Facebook in an effort to find them a loving home.
“I’m Kala. This is Keira. We’re so scared in here. The people working in the shelters see how scared we are but just told each other that today is our deadline,” the post reads. “If no one saves us, someone will take her away from me. I’ll see her as she goes down the hallway. She won’t come back, and I’ll cry. They’ll come for me next, and I won’t be as brave.”
Kala and Keira's savior has just intervened, less than two hours after the picture was uploaded to Facebook

Fortunately, they were successful since their current image quickly became popular. Kala and Keira's savior intervened less than two hours after the picture was uploaded to Facebook.
“There are no words to tell you how happy we are that these two best friends are safe and together,” said the staff at the shelter.
Thankfully, these two girls are now happily living in their new home, and we're happy about it
