Dog Knocks On Her Best Friend's Door Every Day To See If She Can Come And Play
Shadow and Lupa turned a regular apartment hallway into their own little playground, and somehow, it all started with one surprise visit. A dog showed up at the door, a friendship clicked instantly, and now the two neighbors have a daily routine that is equal parts adorable and chaotic.
Every day, one of the pups tries to get to the other first, whether that means sprinting down the hall, waiting patiently at the door, or even opening it themselves. Their families have gotten used to the commotion, and the whole building seems to be in on the fun.

One day, Shadow and her family were having an ordinary day and were about to leave to go on a walk. Suddenly, a random dog ran right into their apartment!
The other dog was so excited to see Shadow that she didn't wait to be invited inside. The dog just ran straight in.
Luckily, Shadow was just as excited to meet a new friend. They learned that her name was Lupa, and she lived just down the hall with her family.
From that moment on, Shadow and Lupa became best friends; it was like something out of a movie.
Ever since their first meeting, Shadow and Lupa have playdates almost every single day, and their entrances are just as chaotic as the first!
One of the parents will open the door, and then either Lupa or Shadow will sprint down the hallway and knock on their bestie's door! Sometimes, Lupa, desperate to hang out, manages to open the door all by herself; otherwise, they sit patiently and wait to be let inside.
When the two pups see each other, they go absolutely berserk. They run up and down the hallway and burst into each other's apartments.
Their parents are used to it now, and luckily, none of their neighbors seem to be too bothered by it!
That hallway has basically become their meeting spot.
The friendship goes both ways, and both dogs love to hang out with each other and have become the best of friends.

In a conversation with The Dodo, Olivia Schwab, Shadow's mom, said:
“Our security is obsessed with their friendship, as well as our vet. Our neighbors are completely okay with this (we live on a dog-friendly floor) and have had another dog join in on the fun.”
The dogs are such good friends that it also means their families have become good friends as well!
Shadow, Lupa, and their families do loads of activities together. They often take them on walks—and it would honestly be like parents chaperoning their kids on a double date!
Their playdates are sometimes just quick and fleeting hellos in the hallway, to long walks, and sometimes they even get to hang out at each other's houses. Shadow and Lupa's friendship means that they often get dog-sat together, and it is never enough for these two doggy besties!
The whole floor has gotten used to the routine.
