Rescued Dog, Who Was Laughed At For Looking Like A Pig Gets Medical Attention And Is Now Happy
There are so many animals in our world today that are in pitiable conditions. Some are killed ruthlessly, some are starved, some are homeless, some are abandoned, and the list continues.
There are countless stray animals wandering the streets, especially dogs and cats, but this also includes other animals that can serve as pets. Every day, it’s one rescue story after another, and this one is no different, except that the dog was in a truly horrifying situation.
A man was taking a stroll down the road when he stumbled upon a dog. Not only was this dog homeless, but he also had a horrendously enlarged face.
While others laughed at the dog’s predicament, this kind man chose not to turn a blind eye. Immediately, he called the Animal Aid Unlimited (AAU) rescue group and asked for their assistance.
Later on, a rescue group arrived at the scene to help the dog, but the scary sight that greeted them was something they were unprepared for. The rescue group was concerned to see that the dog seemed to resemble a pig due to the considerable swelling on his face.
On the other hand, the dog promptly welcomed the rescue group as his tail wagged happily. Surprisingly, he even ate their treats, but he winced painfully each time the rescuers attempted to touch him.

In the end, after various failed attempts to catch the canine, the rescue group had to use a net to secure the poor animal. The veterinarian at the shelter rushed to check on him.
The dog looked more like a pig due to the massive swelling on his face
It was discovered that the dog’s cheek had a major abscess, which was the cause of the enlargement. The area where the abscess occurred was shaved and drained.
Afterward, it was cleaned and stitched up. The rescue group had no clue if the treatment would work, but they closely monitored the dog and trusted that he would survive.

The dog underwent a miraculous change after two weeks of being closely monitored and cared for. The swelling on the dog’s face is completely gone, and he looks like a normal dog once again!
The dog now has a bright smile on his face, with glimmering eyes and a cuddly personality.
