Secret Admirer Leaves Gifts For This Adorable And Loving Dog
A dog named Grizzly is 8 months old and is a Goldendoodle. He has been a member of Marisa Buchheit’s family since they adopted him in September.
Since then, he has been on a roll, making everyone around him happy and cheerful, whether it’s a family member or a random person out on the streets. “We always joke that he’s like the most 'kidnappable' dog because he loves every human so much that someone could take him home, and he wouldn’t even notice the difference,” Buchheit shared.
“He’d love them as unconditionally as he loves us.” The Buchheits live in a high-rise building in Chicago, and Grizzly loves meeting his neighbors.

“Because it’s wintertime, we’ve been stuck inside a lot, so whenever Grizzly sees neighbors in the hallway or the elevator, he’s just so stinkin’ excited,” Buchheit said. “He’ll jump up on them in a really sweet way and roll over, doing this little howling when he sees them.”

This friendly and adorable attitude of Grizzly has won him many hearts and admirers, some of whom are secret. The Buchheit family discovered this one night when a surprise was waiting for them in the hallway by the elevator as they were woken up at 2 in the morning by Grizzly to take him out.

“We walked towards the elevator, and I saw a little setup with ‘Grizzly’ written on a piece of paper, propped up, with some treats scattered around, a bowl of water, and this really adorable-looking teddy bear dog toy,” Buchheit exclaimed with excitement. “I just started laughing kind of nervously because it was so sweet and touching.”

As soon as Grizzly laid eyes on the treats that were on the floor, he ran up and quickly grabbed one before anyone could see him. But after that, he saw the teddy bear as well, and since then, they have become inseparable.
“We’ve kept the toy, and he loves it,” Buchheit said.

Grizzly's family left a note thanking his secret admirer by the water bowl. They have not been able to find out who placed those items, as no one has claimed them so far.
However, they are very humbled and grateful for the love and kindness that has been shown to Grizzly. “It just made me feel really happy that he could provide that kind of joy to someone, even though he’s not exactly a part of their lives,” Buchheit remarked.
“I think we all know that dogs bring great joy to the lives of their families, but the fact that he could actually touch someone who is more or less a stranger really warms my heart.”

The family knows one thing: if Grizzly ever finds out who his secret admirer is, he is sure to shower them with lots of kisses as a thank you. This is just how Grizzly is.
