Bravest Pit Bull Has Been Protecting Toddler Who Had Been Missing For Two Days
Lebanon Junction, a rural town in Kentucky, was all shaken up when the news of a lost 2-year-old toddler reached every household. Charlee Campbell, with their Pit Bull named Penny, disappeared from her grandparent's home.
The 2-year-old girl is autistic and is non-verbal at times. As soon as her grandma, Beth Campbell woke up, she found their front door open and discovered that Charlee was lost, and so was their pet dog.
All she could remember was the girl's outfit - a pair of blue "Frozen"-printed pajamas. A large community comprised of the police, firefighters, and volunteers teamed up to find the lost toddler and every single one of them tried their best to locate the missing Charlee and Penny.
Around 100 volunteers helped because they had always thought of putting their shoes on Charlee's family. What if the same thing would happen to their children, and they can never imagine how horrific that would be.
Despite everyone's efforts, all seem dim. There were no traces of Charlee or Penny, and they nearly gave up.
Not until almost 36 hours elapsed when they got a call from Wayne Brown, a neighbor, who reported a somewhat strange sighting from his yard. There stood a little blond-haired toddler.
Guess what, it was indeed Charlee, and Penny returned to their home too. Read more about Penny's heroic act.

Wayne who had a personal experience when he was 8 years old then, prayed hard for Charlee's safety while he was on his couch. He remembered how his younger brother disappeared later on to be found dead.
While praying, he saw a somewhat strange sighting from his yard. There stood a little blond-haired toddler in her blue-paired "Frozen' pajamas with tick bites on her body and leaves on her hair.
Wayne immediately got up and ran to his door as the toddler approached his porch. He asked the little girl if she was Charlee but did not answer.
Instead, she pointed at his dog and said, "puppy!". Wayne wasted no time reporting it to the authorities.
