Cats and dogs are known for having a rocky relationship. If they live together, they tend to chase and tease one another.
Having these two animals coexist in the same home can result in claws sticking out, dogs barking, and complete chaos. But occasionally, older dogs will look after a kitten and develop a lovely attachment.
While a dog cuddling with a cat is adorable, cuddling with a kitten will make your heart melt. It has been often reported that dogs will take in an abandoned or orphaned kitten.
Due to their maternal nature, female canines have this instinct. They take these steps in order to ensure the survival of the kitten.
The kitten will be welcomed into the litter by the dam, or dog mother, and will be fed by her. When they stumble upon a kitten without a mother, non-lactating dogs will occasionally start lactating.
Until the kitten is old enough to live on its own, the dog mother looks after, cleans, and treats it as her own. The dog and cat in today’s story were neither friends nor enemies, but just one incident changed the whole story.
