The boy's father initially posted the dramatic video online. The man wrote, “Tank had it under control. Our son was fine, and the other dog was taken back home by his owner.”
“Our neighbor’s dog randomly charged at my son last night, and my Tanky saved him from getting mauled or worse,” the boy’s mother wrote on Facebook.

In addition, she referred to the brave dog as "the man, the myth, the legend," and mentioned that the family had paid $300 for him from a Facebook vendor who was selling him as a puppy. Additionally, the parents claimed that the dog wasn't professionally trained to guard their children.
