Therapy Dog Finds, Rescues, And Becomes New Mom To Kittens That Had Been Left To Die In The Woods
Banner was supposed to be out for a normal walk with her owner, Whitney Braley, when the therapy dog suddenly pulled toward the woods and stopped at something hidden off the path. What she found was heartbreaking, a taped-up cardboard box with newborn kittens inside, left alone in the cold and wet.
Whitney, who relies on Banner for support and help with daily life, quickly realized the dog had sensed the kittens before she did. From that moment on, the husky stayed close, helping bring the tiny animals home and care for them like they were her own.
It turned into a rescue no one expected, and Banner turned out to be the hero of the whole story.
Banner has been there for the kitties and has adopted them as her own
The woman was once again uncertain about whether to open the wet, clammy box, but Banner took the initiative and did it for her.
That’s when the walk turned into a rescue.
Banner is also used to going for a walk with her mom
When Banner removed her mouth from the box, she had a tiny kitten in her mouth, no more than two days old. What's more, when Whitney opened the entire box, she discovered six more little cats.
And Banner is on the move...
Somebody must have placed them in the crate, taped it shut, and abandoned them there to die. They ensured that the kittens were hidden where no one could ever find them.

Whitney couldn’t understand how Banner knew they were inside, as the little cats were frozen and not meowing or making any sounds. It frustrated Whitney that anyone would do something so cruel and heartless to these innocent creatures.
And it’s just as heartbreaking as the puppies abandoned by the trash can, saved by a guardian angel.
When Banner took her mouth off the box, she had a little kitten in her mouth
Whitney knew she couldn’t leave them behind, so she took the box with the little cats in it and went back home. As had happened in previous cases when Whitney had taken in small animals to provide them with a temporary home, Banner was there to help her and assisted in caring for the kitties.

Banner is a good girl with motherly instincts
Whitney says that Banner has been there for the kitties and has adopted them as her own. Even though she hasn’t been spayed for several years, she still retains her motherly instincts.
