After Being Abandoned At A Schoolyard This Adorable Spaniel With A Heart-Shaped Mark On His Forehead Found His Forever Home
There are many reasons why dogs are often called "man’s best friends" – but most importantly, they are an essential part of our families. It is hard to believe how someone can be so cold-hearted as to abandon their pet. Unfortunately, this happens frequently, but the good thing is that there are people out there who are willing to rescue and adopt these abandoned animals.
Sadly, this was the case when a good Samaritan saw a terrified dog hiding between two buildings in the schoolyard. The dog was too scared to come out, and it was clear that help was needed.
After receiving the rescue call, a nonprofit organization Hope For Paws was glad to help, and the rescue operation began. When rescuers JoAnn Wiltz and Katie McKittrick arrived, they found a frightened pup hidden in the narrow space between the two buildings.
It seemed that this petrified little dog didn’t want to come out, so the rescuers decided to encourage him with some treats. They offered him some chicken, which he hesitantly accepted, but he was still too afraid to come out.
Having no alternative, they decided to use the snare, and after they delicately looped it around his neck, it was time for the hardest part of the job. There was a bit of a struggle, but eventually, the dog came out, and everything turned out just fine.
The pup was named Rufus, and after he was given a bath and proper grooming, this cute pup settled into a foster home. In less than two weeks, the changes in his behavior were tremendous; a new side of him started to emerge. Rufus became cheerful, and he is now a very playful dog.
Afterward, he was transferred to the LA Animal Rescue and was ready for adoption. Being as charming as he is, there was no doubt Rufus would find a loving forever home in the end.

Rufus found his forever home. He now lives a happy life in Camarillo, California, with his new family.
Rufus is now a super-handsome dog, and his radiant personality simply erupts from him.
