Dog Wins Over Mom for Best Behavior During Family Photography Session
Ruger has been part of the family from the moment he arrived, and he has a way of turning everyday moments into something memorable. He loves playing with his human siblings, and he has built a different bond with each of them.
His mom, Molly Figueroa, is also a photographer, so her kids and Ruger often end up in front of her camera. That usually means a lot of movement, a lot of resistance, and very few perfectly posed shots.
Then one photo session took an unexpectedly funny turn, and Ruger ended up stealing the spotlight.
One fine day, Figueroa was again working with her favorite subjects and was desperately trying to get them to pose and sit still.
On that day, Ruger seemed to sense his mom's desperation and decided to give her a break, setting a good example for his siblings as well.
Oddly enough, he smiled as well.
Figueroa was excited to share that, “Somehow he was having the best day ever and had to flash that glorious smile right at me.” Ruger made his mom very happy that day, and Figueroa was looking forward to Ruger's positive effect on her other kids too.
Just as not all dreams come true, the rest of the group didn't budge.
But Figueroa managed to capture some really good pictures of Ruger, or at least group photos featuring Ruger as the well-behaved kid and the others as a spoiled bunch. Nonetheless, this contrasting behavior produced some truly great pictures.
Figueroa was going through the pictures later and could not control her laughter. The pictures had Ruger immaculately posing and smiling in the midst of the chaos around him.
Finally, the rest of the kids also decided to give Mom a break and sat still for her to take some good pictures. However, behavior-wise, Ruger was the winner and highlight of the day.
And what does good behavior earn? A reward, of course!
Figueroa explained, “He knew Mom had treats.”
She went on to add, “I bribed the others with ‘treats’ as well, but I guess they weren't as enthusiastic about them.”
