People Are Gushing Over This Footage Of An Adorable Dolphin Getting A Belly Rub From A Snorkeler
Animals like dolphins are not typically the type of creatures to ask for a human's attention or belly rubs. We are usually accustomed to dogs and cats being the ones that seek our attention with back scratches and belly rubs.
This doesn't mean that sea animals and other non-house pets don't crave a little human attention from time to time, and who are we to deny it? After all, who can turn down giving a dolphin a belly rub or any other animal some cuddles?
Believe it or not, dolphins and dogs might share some personality traits. We may not take a dolphin on a walk or give them cuddles in the mornings, but that didn't stop this snorkeler from giving this dolphin some attention.
Dolphins are majestic creatures that we, as humans, don't get to see very often in the wild, and I'm sure many of us wouldn't even know what to do if we did encounter one. Dolphins are a lot cuddlier than we might think.
This dolphin kindly approached the snorkeler and asked for a belly rub, so what better thing to do than to oblige? However, this is not the first diver that this dolphin has approached.
This snorkeler had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we are excited to delve into their story to see exactly how it unfolded.
Elaine Farrell, a wildlife photographer, was waiting for a ferry when she spotted an adorable scene. This adorable bottlenose dolphin was having the time of its life while this snorkeler spoiled it with belly rubs.
She quickly grabbed her camera because she couldn't miss this moment, especially as a wildlife photographer. It was definitely a sight to behold.

The dolphin kindly followed the snorkeler around, and they eventually shared a beautiful moment.
The woman can be seen sitting on her boat while the dolphin rolls over in the water as the snorkeler cuddles with it and gives it some attention. The nature photographer explained to the Irish Independent:
“I was the only person at the harbor when I noticed someone snorkeling in the water with the dolphin.”

Apparently, this isn't the first time that the two have met. The dolphin's name is Dusty, and she's a famous dolphin who always rushes to the divers if she sees them, asking for cuddles.
“They swam alongside each other,” Elaine said. “Then, the dolphin followed the swimmer when she got out of the water, rolling over to have her belly rubbed. Dusty clearly enjoyed the human contact.”
How cute is that?

This dolphin is such a cutie. A dolphin interacting with humans like this may not be common, but it's absolutely adorable.
This famous dolphin, Dusty, takes the cake for the most spoiled dolphin. She's always approaching divers for belly rubs.
I know I wouldn't turn down a dolphin belly rub. Share this post with a friend who loves animals or dolphins.
