Amazing Moment Antelope Who Fell Into Water Got Rescued After A Vigilant Elephant Raised An Alarm
One startled elephant turned a routine zoo visit into a rescue scene no one expected. At Zoológico La Aurora in Guatemala, a small antelope slipped into the water and quickly found itself in serious danger.
The animal could not get back out on its own, and the situation got even more tense when a 60-year-old elephant named Trompita noticed what was happening. A zookeeper soon rushed in after hearing the alarm, while a visitor captured the whole moment on video.
What happened next is the kind of animal rescue story people do not forget.
Some playtime with its herd could have turned into a nightmare for a helpless tiny antelope at a Guatemalan zoo

But thankfully, Trompita, a 60-year-old elephant, was on guard and saved the day in spectacular fashion. "Today, I was fortunate to witness something quite beautiful, an elephant seemed worried and alerted us that an antelope was drowning, but it was eventually rescued by a brave worker," the woman wrote on Facebook.
That was the moment the whole scene shifted.

Romeo López, the brave man, eventually managed to pull the antelope out of the water. Within a few minutes, the antelope was reunited with the herd, feeling grateful.
Trompita, who has been at the Aurora Zoo for over 14 years, became very attached to the antelopes because they share an enclosure. A mishap brought them together, and they will now be close friends who look out for each other.
