Rescue Dog Named Snoopy Didn't Fancy Cramped Spaces Until She Discovered The Perfect Tent
Snoopy did not exactly seem like the kind of dog who would enjoy tight spaces, until one tiny tent changed her mind. The rescue pup, once shy and uncertain, has settled into life with her owner, Kyla McGuire, in a way that is both funny and unexpectedly sweet.
McGuire adopted Snoopy from a Missouri rescue about five years ago, and at first, the dog barely knew how to relax. Now she has a favorite spot that was never meant for her at all, and it has become part playroom, part hideout, and part proof that rescue dogs can surprise you.
The tent was supposed to hold stuffed animals, but Snoopy had other plans.
When Snoopy was first adopted from a rescue in Missouri, she was very shy

Snoopy was extremely shy when she was first adopted. The rescue told McGuire that Snoopy was discovered in a ditch with her sister, but that was the only information they had about her.
McGuire originally purchased the tent as a space to hold her stuffed animal collection

Snoopy, on the other hand, quickly became more at ease; she began exploring, trying to get into the trash, and eventually started bossing around her border collie sibling, Loki. Then there was the tent.
McGuire originally bought the tent to store her stuffed animal collection. She certainly didn't expect Snoopy, who despises crate training and only goes into her crate in an emergency, to jump into the tiny tent.
That little tent turned into Snoopy's favorite surprise.
It also echoes the Redditor who questioned returning a clearly mismatched rescue dog back to the shelter, and called the choice a mistake.
Snoopy doesn’t usually like small spaces, but recently she found a tent that looked too inviting to resist

McGuire has benefited greatly from Snoopy's affection and companionship. Snoopy has undoubtedly improved her life, and she keeps McGuire company throughout the day, recognizing when she is upset or in need of comfort.
Nowadays, the tent serves as Snoopy's personal playroom as well as a way for her to be nearer to her owner while living in style. Every time she sits by it, Snoopy enters the tent.
Snoopy really made the tent her own.
McGuire has benefitted immensely from Snoopy’s love and companionship

There are many social benefits to having a dog. People feel more confident approaching an attractive person if they have their dog with them.
Furthermore, people who have dogs appear more approachable and happy than those who do not have dogs. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Are you finally persuaded to adopt that rescue dog you've been putting off for months? Who knows? You might find yourself with a lifelong companion who will love you unconditionally.
