Woman Tells A Dramatic Story About How She Finds Her Missing Black Kitty Who Blends Seamlessly Into Her Surroundings
Petunia, a tiny black cat with a talent for disappearing, gave her owner quite the scare when she seemed to vanish inside the house. Ristay searched everywhere, only to realize the missing kitty was hiding in the most obvious place possible, right beside the family’s black German Shepherd, Atreyu.
That made the search harder than it sounds, since Petunia blends in so well with Atreyu’s dark coat that she can practically disappear in plain sight. Ristay, an Alaskan artist, turned the whole thing into a comic, complete with real photos that show just how easy it was to miss the cat.
Once you see how Petunia and Atreyu fit together, the whole story makes perfect sense.

That’s when the hiding spot started to make sense.
But suddenly, in a flash of insight,
She figured out who the perpetrator was...
Her plan was to catch him red-handed
She flashed her torchlight on the culprit
And there the furball was, snoozing in her favorite hiding place.
In Ristay's words:
I drew this comic one day when I couldn’t find Petunia and I had looked everywhere; I was truly at my wit’s end. Eventually, I found her curled up under Atreyu’s tail with her eyes closed, so I couldn’t even see the reflection of her eyes!
Ever since she was a baby, Petunia has cherished the opportunity to cuddle with Atreyu. Given his past, Atreyu, the German Shepherd, appreciates it just as much as Petunia does.
As a puppy, the German Shepherd was subjected to physical and emotional maltreatment, as well as malnutrition. Petunia's affection and cuddles are what he craves most, and they spend the majority of their time together.
Initially, Ristay was unsure about what Atreyu's personality would be like when she first rescued him, but he turned out to be the ideal dog. He is extremely compassionate and has a deep affection for all of Ristay's kitties.
This also reminds me of the woman whose abusive ex tried to hold her cat hostage.
Ristay posts a few photos of Petunia and Atreyu having fun together in different parts of the apartment. These photographs give a clear picture of Ristay's daily quest to find her missing cat.
