Man Refuses To Return To Childcare Job After Getting Fired Over Brushing Family Husky Who Sheds A Lot
Huskies have a stunning coat that serves as protection from some of the coldest environments. Siberian Huskies are known for their shedding; however, this shedding is due to seasonal changes and only occurs once or twice a year. It can take three to five weeks and is called “blowing” the undercoat, unlike other dog breeds that shed all year round.
The incredibly thick coats that Huskies possess allow them to survive in harsh environments, and they commonly curl up in the middle of the snow without being even slightly bothered. Huskies have a double-layered coat: the outer coat consists of longer hairs that serve as a water repellent and shield against the wind, cold, sun, or heat, while the inner coat has short but thick fur that keeps the Husky warm.
A Redditor who goes by the username u/BoringIndividual734 made a post on the r/AmItheA**hole subreddit, where he explained how he got fired from a childcare job after making one single mistake. After a few days, the mother who fired him wanted to have him back as an employee, but BoringIndividual734 decided not to return to work for her.
BoringIndividual734 was unsure whether he made the right decision and wanted to hear other opinions from the Reddit community. Scroll down and check out the full Reddit post.
Here's the original Reddit post by u/BoringIndividual734:

OP thought it would be funny to text the mom a photo of the pile of hair.

Two days later, the mother was back.

Here's how Reddit users reacted to u/BoringIndividual734's post:

OP did not do anything wrong; she was fired unfairly.

The mother has a lot to learn about Huskies.

Snowsuit on a Husky.

The fact that she thinks that is kind of disturbing.

OP couldn't find any brushes in the mom's house.

Not all dogs need to be brushed.

It's always better to brush it out since it's being shed anyway.

The mother has a lot of strange opinions about various things in life.

Never get involved with crazy. Never.

She pretty much ruined it for her kids.

The mom will learn from this experience to value good employees.

God forbid anything ever goes wrong with one of the kids.

She insulted her and pretty much burned her bridges.

OP should not reward the mom's terrible behavior.

“I am refusing to come back to work for you because your behavior was emotionally and verbally abusive to me...”

The mom has zero respect for OP. She wasn't just having a bad day.

OP did the right thing.

OP had every right to refuse to return to the childcare job; she was fired after all, and most people move on after losing their jobs. The mom should learn how to control herself; you can't just fire people randomly, change your mind a couple of days later, and expect them to come back with big smiles on their faces.
If anything, OP was doing the mom a favor by brushing her dog. She should have done more reading about this topic since she obviously ignores many aspects of the nature of Huskies.
