Photographer Captures The Affectionate Side Of Foxes, And Her Pictures Will Melt Your Heart
Roeselien Raimond, has quite the knack for capturing foxes. With her camera, that is.
The Dutch photographer has spent hours watching foxes live their lives through her camera lens. And her patience and dedication have been rewarded with gorgeous photos of these beautiful little creatures.
Raimond captures seemingly all of the moments of their day-to-day lives. Without the worry of being harmed or hunted, the foxes are caught on camera relaxing, playing, cuddling, and grooming one another.
Raimond lovingly refers to foxes as “huge cuddle-bugs.” She applies to the “romantic love” between a male fox and vixen, but also for familial love between brother, sister, and their parents.
But most specifically the parental love shared with their kits. During a baby foxes life, their mother will shower her kits with love and care.
A pretty stark contrast from the foxes of fairy tales, who are known to be cunning and sly and only out for themselves. These gentle and sociable animals seem ready and willing for a cuddle-sesh at any moment!

Raimond jokes that the trick to capturing these photos is to turn yourself into a sort of “uninteresting furniture.” By making herself uninteresting or unthreatening, the foxes feel comfortable continuing on with their everyday fox-life things.
