Adorable Old Dog Had A Playdate With Her Child Buddy Through A Glass Door
Sheitan, a 12-year-old boxer mix, finally has the kind of company he never got before. After a rough start in life, the sweet dog now lights up around people, foster kittens, and anyone willing to sit beside him.
His mom, Bridget Hammond, says he is especially gentle with the tiny animals that come through their home, and one recent moment showed just how much he loves having a buddy nearby. A little girl ended up becoming his perfect TV-watching companion, even if the two of them were separated by a glass door.
That simple playdate turned into something much sweeter than anyone expected.
Sheitan is a very loving dog and forms attachments quite easily and quickly.
Sometimes, his mom is not even aware of the company he is keeping. Just the other day, when she was busy on her laptop in the living room, she suddenly noticed him sitting with an unidentified little girl.

Also, this “didn’t notice them” vibe matches the dog waiting in the rain for its owner, then getting reunited.
Hammond shared while narrating the incident, “I came out into my living room and saw them sitting together like that, watching TV on the phone.”
“I don’t think either of them noticed that I was there. I kind of just backed away and let them do their thing,” she added. It went on for half an hour.
The dog and the girl kept each other company through the glass door. What's beautiful about the whole situation is that the entire time, they didn't talk or even move from their places.
Hammond soon realized that they enjoyed each other's company and seemed quite comfortable with one another.

The girl was too little to realize how happy she was making Sheitan with her presence.
“It’s all she wants, really—someone to sit with her,” Hammond said. Their playdate was cut short a while after the girl saw Hammond in the kitchen.
“Eventually, she looked up and saw me doing the dishes, and I just smiled at her. She smiled back and continued to watch her show,” Hammond recounted. “Her parents came out and called her over for being nosy, and she kind of smirked at me before going over to her parents.”

They have not had a playdate since that day.
But Hammond has been keeping an eye out for the girl so she can introduce her to Sheitan properly the next time they cross paths.
Until then, Sheitan is enjoying watching TV with anyone who will keep him company.
