But then, nothing makes these dogs happier than cuddling up next to you. They will infiltrate your heart and let you know what they need from you and when which is typically just to be cuddled up on your lap in front of the fireplace or TV.
They are not extremely demanding, but their excessive barking can be a problem and needs to be dealt with right away or it will become a distraction. You should at least be able to make them stop as a dog owner.
But as we said earlier, the Shih Tzu in today's story loves to bark to the extent that the OP wants to avoid visiting the grandmother.

Yes, no one wants to deal with a dog who barks all the time but then they can be trained to stop. The OP's grandma isn't willing to do that so it's up to the OP to decide if the visits should stop or reduce.
