Rescue Cat Expresses Her Gratitude By Bringing Her Mom's Slippers To Her Every Morning
Some rescue cats settle in quietly, and others make sure their gratitude is impossible to miss. Little Miss Lulu falls squarely into the second group.
After leaving shelter life behind two years ago, Lulu became a cherished family cat, and she quickly picked up one very specific habit, bringing her mom's slippers to her every morning. Since she can only carry one at a time, the routine takes two trips, which somehow makes the whole thing even sweeter.
It is a tiny daily ritual, but it says a lot about how loved this cat feels. Read on.

AWE! That doesn't even begin to cover this. I'm not sure I've heard a more heartfelt animal story in my life!
"My mom was surprised [the first time it happened]," Lulu's fur mom's human daughter, Kayla, gushed to The Dodo.
"She wore the drool-covered slippers to encourage Lulu." And, of course, without fail, the routine stuck.
This was only trip one, of course!
Kayla's mom had boasted that Lulu would take it upon herself to gather her slippers for her each morning, but Kayla had merely assumed she was joking.
"I didn’t believe her until she got it on camera," Kayla said.
Fortunately for us, and the entire world, she did. And now the whole globe has the chance to know how sweet and grateful Miss Lulu really is.

Obviously, we have no idea why Lulu actually does this, but we're going to go ahead and assume the gesture is exactly what we believe it to be, considering how sweet-natured she is.
"It really seems like she just wants to take care of my mom, since my mom takes such good care of her." Kayla said.
