Dog Gets His Own Personal Graduation Photo, Thereby Immortalizing His Spot In The Family
Some family traditions are too sweet to stay human-only, and Yogi just got his own version of a graduation day. When Olivia Dufresne’s family dog turned 12, her sisters decided he deserved a place in the lineup right beside their childhood school photos.
Yogi, a Maltese-Yorkshire terrier-Shih Tzu mix, has long been treated like one of the Dufresne siblings, complete with nicknames, playtime, and plenty of affection. So when the family saw a chance to give him a graduation portrait of his own, they went for it, quietly swapping in a photo that made the whole living room feel a little more official.

Surprisingly, the sisters decided to secretly create Yogi’s graduation photo. They then swapped an old baby picture hanging between their graduation photos with Yogi’s graduation photo while no one was around to notice it.

The entire process took a few hours of meticulous Photoshop work, but it was well worth it. Olivia almost did too good a job, as her family didn’t even notice the mantel swap for a long time.

After the skillful photo shoot, Olivia and Pamela laughed for about ten minutes before starting to cry a little with joy. Yogi’s graduation picture has remained the center of attraction in the living room to this day.

“It’ll probably be there until we die,” Olivia added. “We just adore him!”
