Adorable Kitten Was Dumped In A Cardboard Box And Now She's Ready To Start Her New Life
Kelly is an adorable little kitten who was abandoned and found dumped in a cardboard box in Brooklyn with the rest of her litter.
Right from the start, Kelly didn't seem to be doing as well as the other kittens. "The first couple of days were definitely a blur, but I quickly noticed that Kelly was really underweight," said Jess Thoren, Kelly's foster carer.
"Everyone else was moving around a little bit, and she was not moving. She also wasn't eating," Jess said.
Kelly was very timid and often stayed close to her bed, watching the other kittens play from a distance.
However, Jess did everything she could to ensure that Kelly would grow and catch up with her siblings. After a while, Kelly did exactly that!
Kelly Began to Thrive!
Jess kept Kelly separate from the rest of the kittens, but she often placed her with another kitten named Zach, as he was the closest to her size. Jess hoped that Zach would teach Kelly some of his wild ways and help bring her out of her shell—and that's exactly what he did!
Kelly and Zach are the best of friends and will be adopted together since they have become inseparable. Kelly has had to fight extra hard to beat the odds and is now ready for her new life.
"I’m really going to miss her, but I’m also really excited to see her in her new life because she truly deserves it. She’s fought so hard for it," Jess said.
