Police Officer Rescues A Kitten, And Now It Is Her Faithful Sidekick
Officer J.N. Rowsey expected a routine shift in Durham, North Carolina, not a tiny kitten with nowhere to go. But a quick patrol turned into a rescue when she and her partner spotted the scared little stray all alone in a neighborhood.
They looked for the kitten’s mother or owner, but came up empty, and that is where the story took a sweeter turn. The kitten bonded with Rowsey almost immediately, and the officer ended up with an unexpected new companion.
What started as a simple act of kindness quickly became a feel-good police story with a very fluffy ending.

However, that would quickly change. The tiny cat and Officer Rowsey quickly bonded, and it chose her as its new mom. Rowsey just couldn’t refuse. Officer Rowsey now had the world's sweetest sidekick.
This is just like the brave officers who dove into a sewage drain to retrieve a trapped puppy.

This is the best proof of how a simple action can create lifelong friendships. "The lucky kitten found a new home with one of the officers," the police department wrote on their account. "She quickly made herself comfortable and appears very happy to have found a new home with Officer Rowsey."
