These Arguing Lions Are Here To Remind You That All Couples Are Alike
A brief video of a lioness and a lion arguing recently went viral, and it’s pretty obvious why. The two lions got into a quarrel in the middle of the road at the Gir National Park in Gujarat, India, and as with many intense interactions in this day and age, the fight was caught on video.
Initially shared on social media, the video seemed to bring a familiar thought to the forefront of many users' minds: they’re arguing like any other couple.
And honestly? Yeah, they are.
Any relationship, romantic or otherwise, faces conflict. As Dr. Michele Weiner-Davis, a marriage therapist, observes, “Conflict is a natural part of relationships; it’s how we handle it that matters most.”
The fiery fight was captured on camera by a passionate observer, showcasing what can only be described as “The Royal Affair.” This quick clip shows a loud and intense argument between the King of the Jungle and an antagonistic lioness.
Whatever the squabble was about, she definitely was not happy with him. The lioness certainly asserted herself as Queen of the Jungle.
Between the swats at his head, her deafening roars quickly led him to back off. Even when things seemed to settle, she made sure to get the "last word" in too: a huff of a roar as she lay down.
