A Lost Cat Has Finally Been Reunited With Her Original Owner After Ten Long Years
A lost cat story does not usually end with a happy reunion after ten years, but Mishka’s did. Georgia Tsatsaris spent years wondering what happened to the cat she loved, even after life pulled her in a new direction.
Mishka disappeared in 2010, and Tsatsaris later moved away from Chadstone after a divorce. Then, out of nowhere, a call from a vet hospital changed everything, because the cat had been found injured at a construction site and identified by her microchip.
What happened next made the long wait feel a little less impossible.

Meanwhile, Tsatsaris had divorced and relocated to Kringal, which was twenty-five miles away from Chadstone. In short, Tsatsaris and her pet, Mishka, went through a critical period.
Mishka was picked up by a factory worker at the Port of Melbourne, who called for medical help after noticing she was injured and sick. During her treatment, Mishka was identified by her ID chip, and the vet immediately contacted her owner, Tsatsaris.
And here is Mishka's owner, Georgia Tsatsaris

Tsatsaris drove to see if it was indeed Mishka who had been rescued, as she had given up hope of ever seeing her beloved cat again after so many years apart. After a decade, she finally took a deep breath of relief upon meeting Mishka.
Mishka was severely injured and suffering from an upper respiratory infection that had worsened over time when she was brought to the vet. She was also dehydrated and on the verge of losing her life.
It also echoes Mishka’s reunion, like the missing cat who sprinted back after hearing her hooman’s voice.
Mishka's situation necessitated comprehensive medical assessment and treatment, and it was difficult for Ms. Tsatsaris to cover all the bills and afford the treatment at the time because she had suffered financially during the pandemic.

She started a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for Mishka's treatment. She left a very touching message as well to convince people to donate:
"Mishka has been on the streets for a long time, and she now requires 24-hour care to fight the infection and gain weight so she can return home. She's been fighting for her life, but with each passing day, she's becoming stronger and reconnecting with her owner."

Pets are very important to their owners because they provide unconditional love and companionship. Tsatsaris is overjoyed to be reunited with Mishka after all these years.
Let us hope that no pet parent ever has to go through such anguish or see their pet in such a critical condition, being on the verge of death. Don’t forget to leave your thoughts about this post in the comments section.
Ten years later, this reunion still feels almost unreal.
