22 Charming Photos Of Senior Shelter Dogs That Teach You A Lesson About Second Chances
Journalist Laura T. Coffey and photographer Lori Fusaro decided to team up to capture the beautiful essence of senior dogs. The duo collaborated on a book titled My Old Dog: Rescued Pets with Remarkable Second Acts and took their time getting acquainted with older dogs, who are usually at high risk in animal shelters.
Fusaro photographed various senior dogs in an effort to share their lovely nature with the world, giving potential adopters a chance to consider the possibilities in these dogs. The photos are accompanied by statements from people who have given these precious pups a new home.
These insights into the book highlight how these pets have improved their lives. While flipping through the pages, you'll find dogs such as Marnie, a wonderful Shih Tzu who received the love of Betty White, and Bretagne, who was the last surviving dog from Ground Zero.
You can even find George Clooney's cocker spaniel, Einstein, a 9-year-old dog who was adopted by nuns. Together in one book, these incredible dogs symbolize the power of second chances.
