When Pearl was still a little pup, she would chase after the chickens and scare them. So, her older dog sibling, Moose, took it upon himself to train Pearl, and now she has learned not to pursue the chickens.
Guess what she does now? Yup, she actually protects them, and that is just plain obvious character development!
