Pitbull With Paralyzed Legs Proves That His Unbreakable Spirit Is His Secret Power To Heal
Some dogs, as pure and innocent as they are, really aren't lucky enough to be born into this world without having to experience hardships. Such hardships may or may not be inflicted by cruel humans who are heartless enough to let these poor creatures suffer just because they want to.
Millions of dogs end up in shelters because of abuse, neglect, or because they have been dumped on the streets by their past owners who lack the heart to leave them properly at a shelter (to ensure that they would still be cared for). Most of the time, when these dogs are found by rescues, they have already developed trauma and resentment from being left to fend for themselves on the streets.
Some are found years later after being abandoned by their owners, and some are found with life-threatening injuries that would have otherwise led to their untimely demise, had the rescues failed to save them in time. Some of them have been hit by a truck, have injuries on their heads, or have become helplessly paralyzed, just like this particular dog you're about to see.
Paralysis in dogs can be caused by spine tumors or other diseases, but it can also result from falling onto their backs or heads, or from being hit by a car or a heavy stick. Needless to say, it's truly heartbreaking to see a dog so helpless, but this one proved to be optimistic even though it has four of its legs paralyzed...
Meet Romeo. He was found completely paralyzed in all four of his legs when the AMA Animal Rescue took him in.
It's not known what caused his paralysis, given that he was found homeless, but it was in the rescue's best interests and priorities to provide Romeo with everything they could to help him.
Fortunately, Romeo also seemed keen to recover, as he showed that his injuries did not break his spirit at all.

After long weeks of undergoing physical therapy, Romeo eventually found his way to recovery and miraculously began walking again! A month after he recovered, he was already up and running.
However, he wasn't completely well yet. The staff noticed that his eyes were often getting teary, and he was diagnosed with entropion, a condition in which his eyelids had turned inward.
Fortunately, Romeo's eyes returned to normal after undergoing successful surgery.

Even though Romeo is a very affectionate dog who loves every human he bonds with, the rescue still had trouble finding him his forever home that would care for him. Many applications did come in for the dog; however, a lot of these interested families backed down when they discovered Romeo's past injuries.

Thankfully, just months later, Romeo was finally adopted and is now living in his forever home! Take a look at the video below to learn more about his story:
Dogs, whether injured or not, will always be inexplicably sweet, even if they are already suffering from the cruelties of the world. That's just how they are, and they definitely do not deserve any kind of pain that people inflict upon them—especially being abandoned.
