Adopted by Lara and Jaap when he was just 12 weeks old, Sammy quickly showed off his camera-ready personality, along with a habit of zooming, climbing, and claiming whatever spot he wants. His followers have watched him grow into a playful little star who can look sweet, mischievous, and regal all in the same day.

Interestingly, Sammy Meowington is named after Sam, a character from the TV series Supernatural.
The show stars Jared Padalecki, who plays one of the brothers named Sam Winchester. But unlike Sam and Dean, who hunt for supernatural entities, Sammy prefers hunting for feathers.
That name choice makes the whole thing even more fun.
Padalecki is actually a pet owner. He has a dog named Bridger and some other four-legged furry friends.
People have seen his co-stars hanging out with kitties. On some occasions, cats were part of hilarious scenes, such as this one.
Jensen Ackles, as Dean Winchester, actually had a funny scene with a cat. In a season 4 episode, Sam opens a locker, and a cat suddenly comes out.
