Pittie Pup Loves Playing With A Trash Can Despite Having Tons Of Toys Since He Has Been Adopted By His New Family
Stacey Zitto thought she was just stopping by a festival with her two dogs, Lilo and Stitch, but one visit to a York County SPCA stall changed everything. A pittie mix caught her attention right away, and he made a strong first impression with a belly-up greeting that was hard to ignore.
Even though adopting a third dog was not the plan, Zitto kept running into him around the festival and liked him more each time. She also watched how he acted around other people, and that sealed the deal for her family.
Then, just days after coming home, Bidoof found a new favorite toy that was not a toy at all.
When she was about to leave for home, her heart was set on adopting the pittie.
She had made up her mind to adopt him as her third dog. “I eventually decided that I wanted him and texted that I was going to fill out an application,” Zitto explained.

“My husband’s response was simply ‘OMG!’ which I took to mean, ‘By all means, let’s adopt a third dog!’”
They named him Bidoof. When he came to their home, he didn't take much time to settle.
Bidoof's family was excited to have him, and his new siblings gave him enough room for his antics. His family soon realized that Bidoof loves toys, so they brought him as many as they could.
What they didn't realize was that he may not be such a fan of conventional toys.

A few days into his adoption, he was playing outside on the patio when he spotted a trash can.

Bidoof loves playing catch with the trash can. He will throw it in the air and then run around to catch it.
It is the funniest thing ever to watch. When they were adopting him, his family had no idea of his antics, but they totally adore him for it.
“He still plays with it daily and seems to particularly like to play with it after dinner and before bedtime,” Zitto said. “One day I’d like to feel the level of joy he feels playing with a trash can!”
Bidoof is a friendly and happy-go-lucky dog who has immediately adapted to his new home and family.
