Cat and Beagle Do a Wonderful Photo Shoot in a Pumpkin Patch
Chloe had already been through heartbreak once, and her owner knew she needed something gentle to help fill the quiet. After losing her bunny friend Rue, the sweet beagle was left grieving, so Megan Cottone brought home another companion named Chlea.
The match worked almost instantly. Chloe and Chlea bonded right away, and now the pair go everywhere together, from walks on a leash to little outings that keep Chloe busy and happy again. Their latest stop was a pumpkin patch, where the two turned an ordinary fall trip into a photo shoot full of personality.
The pictures are adorable, and the bond between them is even better.
Chloe’s best friend, a bunny named Rue, passed away, leaving her inconsolable.

“When we got to the pumpkin patch, they were both excited and wanted to get out of the car to go exploring,” Cottone said. “Chloe was crying, and Chlea was meowing… We found a quiet pumpkin patch that we knew both of them would enjoy sniffing around on their own.”
While they were exploring the pumpkin patch, they also stopped to take some pictures here and there. The results are adorable.
So her mom adopted Chlea, and it proved to be an excellent idea.

Even though they are still getting to know each other, they look like they’ve been friends for years. Their bond is evident in the way they pose together.

They instantly bonded

There is a misconception that cats and dogs can’t be friends and that they are genetically predetermined to be enemies. This is not true.
“People who share their homes with both species know that this is not the case. Dogs and cats can form fast friendships. It is life experiences with members of the other species, and not an inborn animosity, that determines how cats and dogs feel about each other.”
Not every cat-dog relationship becomes a rock-solid friendship. Sometimes they will just learn to tolerate or ignore each other. But even then, it will be a peaceful coexistence.
The ideal time to start socializing is when kittens are between 6 and 12 weeks and puppies between 8 and 16 weeks.

Best friends for life

It’s wonderful to see that Chloe is on her way to full recovery and that she can enjoy life again. Chloe and Chlea love to pose together because they enjoy spending time together. They were best friends from the moment they met, and it’s obvious they’ll be best friends forever.
