Abandoned On A Roadside, This Traumatized Puppy Gets A Second Chance When Saved By A Good Samaritan
The frightened dog was found on a roadside in a village in Romania. From the way the dog reacted when she saw a person willing to help, it was clear that this street dog was desperate for someone—anyone—to assist her.
The moment the rescuer stopped her vehicle, the stray dog could be seen approaching her quickly. When Georgiana Neagu, the rescuer, leaned down to check on the poor animal, the dog immediately began to cry.
It was very apparent that the dog was terrified from the trauma of being left alone. The dog's cries were heartbreaking; this poor pup was hurting.
Georgiana took her time to reassure the dog that she meant no harm, and she kept petting the pup until her whimpers calmed down a little. You could tell from the way the dog looked at Georgiana that she was hesitant to truly trust anyone, but she was in a bad situation.
After gaining her trust, Georgiana brought the dog into her vehicle. The rescued dog immediately began to show affection toward her savior.
She licked Georgiana's face as if to show gratitude for giving her a second chance. Her tail even started to wag happily! It was a beautiful moment to witness.
Georgiana named the pup Paula. She is also fostering her until she finds a forever home.
Seen here is Paula cautiously approaching her rescuer. The look on her face is heart-wrenching.

Here's the full video of the entire rescue taken by Georgiana:
Here's Paula cuddling with her rescuer Georgiana Neagu

Paula is not the first dog that Georgiana has rescued. As a matter of fact, she is part of a non-profit organization called S.O.S. A.R.M.S. (Saving Orphaned Souls Sheila's Animal Rescue Mission).
Georgiana Neagu founded the non-profit in 2012 and has since saved more than 2,000 abandoned dogs in need.
However, Georgiana's passion for rescuing animals didn't start with her foundation; she has been saving animals in need since 2005.
She has successfully found loving homes for almost all the rescued dogs under her care. The other dogs who need special attention and are too psychologically traumatized to be safely homed are all staying with Georgiana.
How amazing is she?
Meanwhile, here is Paula comfortably snuggling with her new foster siblings.
According to Georgiana, she knew from the moment she saw Paula that she had to take her home.
She believes that her unconditional love is exactly the healing Paula needs after suffering for so long on those desolate streets.
Paula is living very happily, and more importantly, safely with Georgiana and her pack of rehabilitated dogs.
Georgiana happily shared that Paula has bonded with her; Paula follows her around to keep her company.
It seems these two have fallen in love with each other! The 11-month-old pup looks so relaxed here!

Paula, the once-abandoned and frightened puppy, is now a loving companion. She's staying with Georgiana temporarily while she waits for a loving family to care for her.
People like Georgiana show the best parts of humanity. It takes an extra special person to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home an abused animal.
It's not an easy task, and Georgiana deserves our gratitude.
We are grateful that she shared this special moment with the entire world. It also raises awareness about the sad reality that some dogs and animals face daily.
So please, please be kind to your animal companions. Like Paula, they deserve all the good things in the world!
Georgiana and Paula are both so lucky to have found each other at the right time!
